Under CSR of BPCL, Sulabh sanitation Mission Foundation running a School Sanitation Awareness program in District Araria, Bihar aimed at creating an environment for uses of sanitation & hygiene practices in sustainable manner
Involving school children as messengers of Change on ‘WASH’ – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene including inputs for sustainability through introduce Child Cabinet in Schools.
Program is intended to encourage Children to participate in extra curriculum activities like essay writings, Debates, & Chart paintings etc. The objective of these activities Children are eager to learn & help others; they pass their knowledge from schools to families and thus influence the community. What children learn and internalize goes a long way in shaping their attitude and behaviour in rest of their life as they are likely to practice them throughout their lives. As an agent of change, the children can reach not just their families but the community, society and future generation as well and inbuilt confidence in them at early childhood.
Under the CSR of CEL an advocacy & mass awareness program was organized in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad city of Uttar Pradesh.
In this Program many activities included for highlighted sanitation importance I;e one to one interactions, social mapping, advocacy with government officials, Cultural & educational institutions including workshops/ Nukkad nataks & wall Paintings.
Mass awareness campaign on Sanitation assumes importance when strategies are planned to reach the larger masses and disseminate basic information on the Sanitation & Hygiene. The Play for behavioral change is performed by the team of Samagra Bharat Natya Manch & Sulabh Sanitation Mission Foundation In this play they focused on the following topics: Solid waste, hygiene practices, open defecation and safe drinking water.
Sanitation Awareness Film shows
There was a positive impact of film show on people. People participated in the discussion with full enthusiasm and agreed on the issues. It is believed that the audio visual medium of communication is quite strong as people can visualize the idea and could better relate to it.
